A recent cover appearance and why our timber flooring is so user friendly.

We are fortunate enough to have some really clever, interesting and lovely clients at Portobello Home. Nothing makes us happier than seeing our pieces or flooring back at its new home, showcased or installed in its own unique way. We were pleasantly surprised to see a recent cover story of a beautiful clients home on the cover of Country style magazine. The french house in Trentham has all the right things going on for a cosy, eclectic and family friendly space. We adore what they have down and how they utilised our timber flooring and sisal range.

The endeavour carbonised timber flooring is a reclaimed timber with beautiful features including unfilled sections of natural timber movement, a plug feature to resemble old boards and a deep brown chestnut tone that is both warming, rustic and very family friendly. We often find that it is selected for homes in the country or those full of children and dogs as it is extremely liveable with its vintage patina and lived in feel.

 While we have a number of boards that have a rustic and vintage appeal, We also carry a range that will work in perfect harmony with your contemporary space or even smaller apartment and city living. Boards come in a number of widths, colours, finishes and textures. Including a herringbone style parquetry, Wide width board and a classic width that is a very generous size in comparison to the old wood boards.

 Our herringbone range, shown above in the natural oil, Is an effective solution for any number of spaces, a contemporary update on the classic parquetry styles with its wider and longer dimensions. All our board widths come in a select range of colours and customised colours and finishes can be arranged also. 

Our range is all european oak, engineered, tongue and groove and finished with oil products. No polyurethane or nasty products are used, sustainable harvested and developed to be well warn loved and lived on.  Both of our showrooms have the flooring down, Healesville show casing the black wash classic board, Natural oil wide and classic board. Richmond showroom showcases the entire range with our floors in herringbone carbonised and wide board natural oil.
